JMBM Regains Domain Name for Client

The Missouri Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds successfully regained rights to the domain name “campinmissouri.com” through a strongly contested arbitration with Sugar Mountaindesign Company. The Association, represented by Rod S. Berman, Jessica Bromall Sparkman and Manali Dighe of the JMBM Intellectual Property Group, claimed that it owned the domain name as a trademark and that it had been improperly transferred to Sugar Mountaindesign Company, a web administrator for Mid Life Crisis, Inc. In a very close case, the National Arbitration Forum found that the Association adequately proved ownership of the trademark and bad faith on the part of Sugar Mountaindesign, and ordered that it be transferred back to the Missouri Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds. This is another in many wins for Mr. Berman and his associates in domain name dispute litigation.
